Geklammerte Ortsangaben in Bezeichnungen

Hallo DavidJRasp,
ich wollte dich darum bitten, soweit möglich nicht geklammerte Ortsangaben in den Objektbezeichnungen zu verwenden, soweit diese nicht Teil des Namens sind. Generell kann ich bei der Thematik den Hilfsartikel zu Bezeichnungen wärmstens empfehlen.

Hallo Nw520,

Geht klar. Werd ich mich ab sofort dran halten. Ich komm so mehr oder weniger von Commons und benutze hier das Wikidata vor allem, da ich die Wikidata Infoboxen da mag. Daher hab ich meistens den Namen der Kategorien von dort übernommen. Werd ich in Zukunft dann drauf achten und auch mal meine bisherig erstellten Items dahingehend ändern. Danke dir.

Isomeric SMILES

Hey, I've noticed that you're adding isomeric SMILES to items about chemical compounds. However, I see some problems with your additions. In valproic acid (Q240642) you added canonical SMILES instead of isomeric (in that case there should be no isomeric SMILES as this compound have no stereocenters). Same in methylparaben (Q229987), danthron (Q5221244), p-aminophenol (Q2548040) and many others. What's more, in some cases isomeric SMILES was deleted earlier manually for this reason. I see also that most – if not all – additions causes constraint violations, i.e. value for isomeric SMILES does not correspond to a regular expression format specified in isomeric SMILES (P2017). Hey, I was filling this data from PDB ligands using a script. And I didn't realize that the data there regarding the SMILES isn't consistent. I could undo the batches, in which I submitted those changes and refine my script, so that it checks if the compound has a stereocenter and that the SMILES correspond to the regex. Checking if a compound have at least one stereocenter would be great (we have a constraint that checks if there is a canonical SMILES in items having only isomeric SMILES, but there is no simple method in WD to check if an item should have an isomeric SMILES). I don't know who wrote the regexp in isomeric SMILES (P2017), but I think it usually works – if you're sure that a specific isomeric SMILES is correct and the value causes a constraint violations, report it on the property discussion page. Alright, as far as I understand the regex specified for isomeric SMILES (P2017), it makes sure that at least one character is included indicating a stereocenter (\, / or @). I included this regex now into my script, which is something I should have probably done in the first place. Thank you definitely for checking my edits and making me aware of this problem. Call for participation in a task-based online experiment

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits.

Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.

Incorrect use of instance of (P31)

Hello –

This edit to "Q105414527" (Q105414527) was in error. The properties instance of (P31) and subclass of (P279) define key ontological relationships. Because subclass of (P279) is transitive, such errors lead to numerous false inferences, such as Q105414527instance of (P31)recreation (Q184872). Before you use these properties, please look at the object item to be sure it's the one you intend. You can also review the usage instructions on these two properties, and Help:Basic membership properties. (In particular, note that all instances of a class must be of the same type.) There is often another property better suited to expressing the relationship you had in mind; you can search for one here. In this case, genre (P136) works better. Thanks! Eisenbahnbrücke von 1938 in Saarbrücken-Malstatt (Q113996544)

Hallo FlocciNivis!

Bei deinem Eintrag „Eisenbahnbrücke (Q113996544)“ stimmt, denke ich, etwas grundlegend nicht (auch mit den Wikimedia Commons Bezeichnungen der Fotos und Kategorie). Die Wikidata-Beschreibung lautet ja „Eisenbahnbrücke von 1938 in Saarbrücken-Malstatt“ und es ist auch als „Baudenkmal“ angegeben.

Ich bin selbst aus Saarbrücken und bin darüber gestolpert, weil es in der Denkmalliste des Saarlandes genau zwei Eisenbahnbrücken in Malstatt gibt: eine von 1908 und eine von 1938. Die Einträge in der Denkmalschutzliste (ich habe da aktuell das PDF vom 01.07.2022 von www.saarland.de) lauten:

• „Trierer Straße, Eisenbahnbrücke, 1908“
• „Trierer Straße, Eisenbahnbrücke, 1938“

Die von dir angegebene „Eisenbahnbrücke“ mit den Koordinaten 49°14'33.58"N, 6°58'48.72"E und den Fotos auf Wikimedia Commons – ist aber in der Ludwigstraße (und eben eigentlich ein Straßentunnel). Dazu gibt es aber keinen Eintrag in der Denkmalliste (nur für das Südportal, s.u.).

Weil ich diese denkmalgeschützte Brücke von 1938 auch bei OpenStreetMap korrekt als Baudenkmal (mit heritage-Tags) eintragen wollte und ich mich gefragt hab, welche das denn nun ist, hab ich mir die Mühe gemacht, eine E-Mail ans Landesdenkmalamt zu schreiben und nachzufragen. Denn aktuell ist nur die von 1908 bei OpenStreetMap eingetragen, auch als Baudenkmal (https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/949759660).

Die Antwort hat das bestätigt, was ich schon vermutet hatte, nämlich: Die denkmalgeschützte Brücke von 1938 war die nördlichste der 3 Eisenbahnbrücken in der Trierer Straße (vor dem Ludwigskreisel) und existiert nicht mehr. Sie wurde ca. 2006 abgebrochen und durch einen Neubau ersetzt. Die Genehmigung zum Abbruch der Brücke wurde durch das Landesdenkmalamt am 01.08.2005 erteilt. Dort gibt es jetzt also nur noch die denkmalgeschützte Brücke von 1908 (die mittlere der 3 Brücken: siehe OpenStreetMap). Dazu stimmen deine Angaben bei Wikidata und Wikimedia-Commons! Der Eintrag der Brücke von 1938 soll jetzt auch aus der Landesdenkmalliste entfernt werden, das wurde wohl bisher versäumt.

Und in der Ludwigstraße steht von diesem Straßentunnel, den dein Wikidata-Objekt beschreibt, nur das Südportal von 1905 aktuell unter Denkmalschutz (in der Denkmalliste unter „Ludwigstraße, Flur 9, Flurstück 739/78, Südportal des Straßentunnels unter der Eisenbahnbrücke, 1905“). Und das ist leider auf keinem Foto bisher zu sehen (könnte man wohl mal nachholen!) ... Dein Foto „20210611 Eisenbahnbrücke 1938.jpg“ zeigt das Nordportal. Das Südportal ist aber auf OpenStreetMap als Knoten bereits korrekt mit heritage-Tags eingetragen, wobei es da leider keinen richtig guten Haupt-Tag gibt (https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/11810525829). Von wann der auf deinen Fotos abgebildete Tunnel stammt, konnte ich noch nicht in Erfahrung bringen. Ich nehme aber an, dass 1938 da nicht stimmt ... Am Tunnel selbst steht, soweit ich weiß, auch keine Jahreszahl.

Du solltest also wohl am besten:

• Bei Wikidata die Angaben zum Denkmalschutz entfernen (denn das stimmt nach der E-Mail-Antwort vom Landesdenkmalamt wohl definitiv nicht).
• Bei Wikidata die Jahreszahl 1938 entfernen (es sei denn, du hast eine Quelle, nach der das – zufällig – auch 1938 gebaut worden wäre, was ich eher nicht annehme. Habe bisher auch nirgendwo Infos finden können, wann das dort gebaut wurde. Ggf. kann ich beim Landesdenkmalamt nochmal nachfragen, ob die das wissen.)
• Den Kategorienamen, die Dateinamen und Beschreibungen bei Wikimedia Commons ändern.
• Und ich würde als Bezeichnung (bei Wikidata und Wikimedia Commons) nicht „Eisenbahnbrücke“, sondern „Straßentunnel unter der Eisenbahnbrücke in der Ludwigstraße, Saarbrücken“ verwenden (so wie es auch in der Landesdenkmalliste für das Südportal genannt wird).

Sonst ist das schon ziemlich irreführend und verwirrend ... Wäre toll, wenn du das ändern würdest!
