Actually I have already created a similar category ko:분류:아제르바이잔어 백과사전 which corresponds to en:Category:Azerbaijani-language encyclopedias. Did you mean another one corresponding to en:Category:Azerbaijani encyclopedias needs to be created? Doyoon1995 (talk) 19:52, 27 April 2019 (UTC)

Editing

Hello. I recently noticed your contributions to math content. Thanks and welcome. Some of your edits seem to violate conventions which others follow. In particular:

• Redoing an edit which has been undone without further discussion on a talk page. Going back and forth using edit summaries is not encouraged. Example.
• Redoing a merge without further discussion. That's a special case of the above, but more problematic, because undoing a merge his harder, especially after some time when bots already had time to update redirects. Example.
• Redefining the meaning of an item. Example.

I think it would be appropriate to restore those items where others have raised concerns. Then we can have a discussion about the details of each. Toni 001 (talk) 08:48, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

• What I reverted without discussion on the talk page is your revert of my edit without discussion. It takes two to tango.
• I didn't redefine anything. I strictly followed what is stated there.

Continuum

Hello, 慈居. I believe that you are losing one more definition of "continuum" by previous merge - a set which cardinality is cardinality of the continuum (Q22952648). E.g. "set of real numbers (R)" is such continuum. But R^2 is also continuum. And C (set of complex numbers) is continuum too. It can be covered by demerging Q26851380 from Q1174982. Hello. Thank you for taking time to discuss this issue with me. As far as I know, a "continuum" in the sense you have noted is most commonly referred to just as something like "a set of cardinality ${\mathfrak {c}}$". What I would prefer is to create an item for that definition, with "continuum" its label or alias. The term can also refer to:

• a compact connected metrizable space, which is covered by continuum (Q5165551),
• just a compact connected space, for which an item doesn't seem to exist,
• the cardinality of the set of real numbers, with item cardinality of the continuum (Q22952648) with alias "continuum" (added by me)

As for the sense of "the set of real numbers", I have merged the two items, assuming that the two items refers to the same thing. And I don't see any conflicts after the merging (all usage of Q1174982 as values). I don't see why this particular item should remain ambiguous while the others are not. 慈居 (talk) 14:32, 23 August 2023 (UTC)

  @Infovarius: The domain of sine (Q152415) is the continuum in the sense of the set of real numbers, but not in the sense of any set of cardinality ${\mathfrak {c}}$, by which we are claiming the same. I assumed that Q26851380 means the former, because e.g. the label of cardinality of the continuum (Q22952648) is the cardinality of "the" continuum, not "a" continuum, "any" continuum, or "continua", and the item had the statement cardinality of the continuum (Q22952648)instance of (P31)cardinality (Q4049983)of (P642)set of real numbers (Q26851380). And the use of the item in such statements implies that the item does not refer to just a term, but an unambiguous mathematical concept. We should also consider consistency with other items such as continuum (Q5165551) and cardinality of the continuum (Q22952648), which both can be called continua. 慈居 (talk) 22:11, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
