Hi Llywelyn2000,

Yesterday, I noticed that you made this proposal, but omitted to add it to the summary page. So it wasn't really handled. I did that now, but if you might want to withdraw it, if you don't plan to use it. Datatype should probably be "external-id" instead of "string".

BTW, how did you come across this?

Hi Jura!

Wikidata:Property proposal/ONS - Community codes was done well over year ago, and, yes it would be good to get them on WD. My aim, really, is to created maps, charts etc on cywiki, which would refresh automatically.

Re: Property proposal/Model item for - I've known John for 6 years, and keep an eye on his edits, which are usually a view into the glass-ball of the future. Do you feel strongly against? If so, can you elaborate for idiots like me. I can look at it again.

We might already have a property for the identifier, but the value on Q20592546#P836 is different. Maybe it's just the wrong item.

For the model one: not really a big issue, but as you seem to have hesitated between supporting one, or both, I'd support the second instead of the first for the reasons explained there. Douglas Adams isn't going to complain about additions or removals of such statements, but living people might find it odd.

BTW, the new lexeme namespace is taking shape. It might not have reached the threshold of usefulness, but it can be used to experiment: some Welsh ones. Queries aren't possible yet and some of its features aren't compatible with the Wiktionaries. It works better for some languages than others.

Thanks Jura1!
