We have the option |showsource=false or true. Is there a way to put a parameter to the template that can make the template not to show any reference? I mean, I want the parameter of the template to show the reference. The template in correct. But in some cases, in some articles, by using the same template, I want not to show any references.

In the article, you append the following to the infobox:

| noref = true

(or | noref = ναι, whatever you want).

Then, you will replace all showsource=true with showsource={{#if:{{{noref|}}}||true}}.

Thanks!

One more thing. References through Wikidata are working fine. Today, I have noticed a "problem". If the references is a book, is there a way to connect that book with the book references at the end of the article?

w:el:Α΄ κατηγορία ποδοσφαίρου ανδρών Κύπρου 1934-35

By clicking at [5], you go to reference list. By click authors names you go to the book reference. You can do the same if the references come from Wikidata. The link send you to the article of the author or to the item. I am not sure if that a problem. And I think we can't do anything about that. I am telling you just to know that.

Furthermore, do you know why ISBN is not showing for reference [1]? Maybe that's my problem. Is not showing the full reference... Yes, I am sure now, that's the problem. If the references of the book is correct, no problem. The only missing thing is ISBN, but there are two properties. ISBN-10 (P957) and ISBN-13 (P212). I have made one unsuccessful change to w:el:Module:Wikidata/cite.

ISBN's should now work.

I'm not sure how I could solve the first problem. I mean, the infobox (or the modules inside) would need to know that there is this kind of reference somewhere in the article. Then, it would need to know where the link should point to (the "anchor") and also to be able to decide if a given reference is the relevant one.

Thanks!

Don't bother. Is not a problem. The reader can find the book from the reference list. Thanks!

Yesterday you told me to create . I have maded it wrong and we have problems. I just change it like the English one. Is it ok? Do we really need it?

Matěj Suchánek (talkcontribs)

Well, you told me that the English semicolon is the Greek question mark. So I assumed you wanted to change this message to show something different than ";" when MediaWiki uses this message.

Xaris333 (talkcontribs)
Matěj Suchánek (talkcontribs)

You will only change the first semicolon. The second one is necessary because means "a space character".

Xaris333 (talkcontribs)
Matěj Suchánek (talkcontribs)

That means there will be nothing but a space. If you want a comma (,), add it before & (and keep the rest).

Xaris333 (talkcontribs)

But no problem for the symbol between qualifiers, right? It has done nothing with that.

Matěj Suchánek (talkcontribs)

Right, there is a separate translation system for them.

Xaris333 (talkcontribs)

Wait.

"In Greek and Church Slavonic, a semicolon indicates a question, similar to a Latin question mark. To indicate a long pause or separate sections, each with commas (the semicolon's purpose in English), Greek uses, but extremely rarely, the "άνω τελεία", an interpunct ( · )."

No, just space is ok.

Matěj Suchánek (talkcontribs)

This isn't question to me but Greek users. Use whatever you think is appropriate.

Xaris333 (talkcontribs)

Space.

Thanks!

Some time ago you help me for w:el:Πρότυπο:Πληθυσμός απογραφών Κύπρου (for population history of Cyprus).

Now I am trying to do the same in English Wikipedia. en:Template:Population history Cyprus. But the Module:Wikidata is different there. If you know about their Module, can you help? I asked to village pump but nothing... Example en:Pelendri#Population history.

And, can we make the same for Czech Wikipedia? I have added all population history for municipalities and communities for Limassol District in Wikidata. Noticed, that most of the sources are in English and if some of them are in Greek, in Wikidata I have added also the translated titles etc. I can do the same for Czezh. I can apply the template to the places (if the have article to cz wikipedia). cs:Šablona:Population history Cyprus

You know that English Wikipedia isn't really keen on using Wikidata? (I heard, though, their latest RfC was a bit in favor.) So I think you are wasting time with that.

On Czech Wikipedia, we have already experimented charts and tables. It would be nice if you introduced your intentions at w:cs:Wikipedie:Wikidata/Nástěnka. This is the place where new Wikidata usage is reviewed and usually approved.
