Just to get an idea how much one could still add to the project before, when will the workshop take place?

This has already gone far beyond what can be done at the workshop :-) This I think is mostly for future work with lighthouses, I think you have done tremendous work with it!

The workshop is today, there are only a few participants, most will not have earlier experience about Wikidata. But I have a good sense of what's possible. We also fabricated an infobox template to display lighthouse data.

Wikidata is not yet widely adopted in Wikipedia in Finland. I think an introduction with such great material is just perfect.

BTW Would you by any chance be willing to contribute to a blog post about this? I think the final should be in Finnish but we could work on it in English.

Building infoboxes at Wikipedia that make use of the data is a good approach as well. It seems that this can be done more easily in fields/at Wikipedia language versions where there are not too many infoboxes in place. Changing existing ones frequently creates more problems than it solves.

Thanks for the offer about the blog, but I'd rather not. Finnish is a bit too far from languages I know ;)

What do you think is the problem: I try several properties with HarvestTemplate and I only get errors with the demo run. I have never used the tool before, so I don't know exactly how it's supposed to work. The settings seem right unless I have messed up the template.

For the ones with "item" datatype, one might need to select "try to match target page even without wikisyntax".

HarvestTemplates wont work to define values for qualifiers.

Looking at this, it seems that many don't have P31 defined ("Constraint violation: Type undefined"). This will make any imports fail. You might want to do some of the steps listed at Wikidata:WikiProject_Lighthouses#Import_from_categories first.

In addition, P31="lighthouse" doesn't seem to work with existing constraints for P131. We would need to adjust the constraint or the types used on the "lighthouse" item.

Obviously, "no value" just means that there is no data in the templates.

Templatetiger has a table of the values available. It might be easier to work with that directly.

That's a good suggestion! I copied the data and started to clean it. I guess I'll use the Google spreadsheet Wikipedia tools for values and then use quickstatements to input data. I already did the P31.

I'm not familiar with how the constraints work, so I would have to study that.

P131 should work now. I adapted the "type" constraint on Property talk:P131

For the "Constraint violation: Type undefined"-error, adding P31 with the links at Wikidata:WikiProject_Lighthouses#Import_from_categories should do.
