Yes, it's not supported at the moment, though it would only need a very minor fix to work. That's the exact same issue reported by Nikki below for monolingual text.

I did a quick patch a while ago on a local version of QS to do just that: import population with year, source and determination method (P459) as a proof of concept (see example) for the French municipalities project.

It would be nice that every datatype handled by QS would have the same level of support.

The fix for this is buggy, it only adds the qualifiers if you explicitly put a + in front of the number. If you do something like

Q4115189	P1082	321	P585	+00000002010-01-01T00:00:00Z/09	S143	Q728945

it still only adds 321 as the population without any qualifiers.
