Conflation[edit]
Hello @Ferran Mir: LCAuth n2011049960 (Ibn Muʻādh, Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm, active 11th century) says: "... often confused with Abū ʻAbd Allāh Muḥammad b. Yūsuf b. Muʻād̲ al-Ŷuhanī, b. 989." I think the IDs you've added are about this other person. --Kolja21 (talk) 20:31, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hello {{ping|Kolja21}}, I do not think so. The alternative names you can see in n2011049960 : ''Ibn Mu'ad de Jaén'' ("de Jaén" in Spanish is as "al-Jayyani" in Arab) and ''Abenmoat'', ''Abenmohat'', ''Abumaad'', ''Abumadh'' (that they are the latin medieval names used to identify this person). More over, the nisba ''al-Yuhani'' seems to be referred to the tribu of Yuhaina. So, I think the identifier is referred to '''Ibn Muhad al Jayyani'''. This author is cited in the literature alternatively with the names '''Ibn Muhad''' or '''Al Jayyani''' (or similar spellings) and it is difficult to see that they are the same and unique person.
