Three nearly identical paintings[edit]

According to the RKD, three nearly identical paintings exist: 102311 in Spain we have Archduke Leopold Wilhelm in his Gallery in Brussels (Q27892947), the other two 56741 (private collection Rothschild) and 44344 (Kunsthistorisches Museum) are linked from this item. This doesn't appear to be the same painting so I think we need to create another item. @Jane023:? Multichill (talk) 11:39, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The Galdiano one has always remained in the same collection. The German one was in the Kunsthistorisches Museum for 50 years and was sold. See the history on the auction site or the Rothschild book. The RKD has two records for the same painting. The info is correct in both. Jane023 (talk) 11:46, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This is the Galdiano and the formerly owned by Rothschild version is Archduke Leopold Wilhelm in his Gallery in Brussels (Q19960949) Jane023 (talk) 11:51, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I mixed up talk pages. I should have posted it on the talk of Archduke Leopold Wilhelm in his Gallery in Brussels (Q19960949)
To summarize. 44344 and 56741 are the same painting. Christies has a lot of background information.
@RKDdata: can you investigate this one? Your colleague Fred Meijer is mentioned on the record so he might be able to clarify? Multichill (talk)
I believe that 44344 and 56741 are the same painting indeed and I will forward this to the appropriate departement to have records merged. Once merged I will deprecate one of the RKD id's RKDdata (talk) 15:57, 24 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
