References and Qualifier Information[edit]
Give references for most statements. A reference can be a link to a URL or an item (for example, a book). Identifiers do not need to have references. Some statements don't need references, e.g. stating that someone is a human, or their occupation. Qualifiers are often used for source information, e.g.:
- reference URL (P854) - also give retrieved (P813)
- Wikimedia import URL (P4656) - use for URL from any Wikimedia site instead of reference URL
- stated in (P248) - there must be an item created for the source cited in order to use this property; it must point to a specific published source such as a reference work, online database, website, authority file, etc. Consider also including object named as (P1932) to record what the source cited said. The property takes free-text, not another Q number.
- page(s) (P304) - to give the page in a source where the information is found
- imported from Wikimedia project (P143) - e.g., English Wikipedia; Czech Wikipedia; German Wikinews - use this property if the information you are recording was taken from Wikipedia or another Wikimedia project
