A 11 days Wikidata data-thon will be conducted between October 26, 2023 (Q69306964) and November 5, 2023 (Q69306974) to celebrate the Wikidata's 11th birthday (Q122974659) in India (Q668). You may join by adding your name in the #Participants section below.

Objective[edit]
- Improve the Wikidata items by adding labels, descriptions.
- Improve the usage of Wikidata items by adding India-related properties.
- Improve the Wikidata items by adding statements, qualifiers and references.

About the tasks[edit]
The tasks related to this data-thon are not fixed. Participants can choose their own preferred tasks and be part of the datathon. A list of tasks is provided below for helping the participants to choose the topics which you might interested in contributing.

Adding Statements and Identifiers[edit]
- You can enable gadgets like Recoin, Mismatch Finder and other gadgets from your preferences that can help you to add/improve the Wikidata Statements easily to the items.
- add the following India-specific identifiers (if available)
- For those properties with a (mix'n'match) link below, you could also add values for those properties using the catalog which was uploaded to mix'n'match.
- There are some properties whose values can be searched for elsewhere; a link to such a search form may be given as (source).
India-specific Wikidata Properties[edit]
Add the India-specific Wikidata Properties to Wikidata items and improve the items. Check the Properties page for more details and verify that the values are correct by going though the source website/webpage.

Adding Images[edit]
Some of the Wikidata items doesn't have images to it. Improve the Wikidata items by adding image to it.
- Add images using WikiData Free Image Search Tool
- Add images of Indian people to Wikidata items from Wikimedia commons - Link
Note: Wait for sometime to load the Wikidata items without images. If not loading automatically click the run button. Once the images are loading click on 'Add as Image' button to add the images to Wikidata item.
- Upload images and add images to Wikidata items using WikiShootMe tool. Link
Note: Open the tool and click on 'locate me' or search the places near you for getting the list of places. For more details visit the documentation page.
- Upload images and add images to Wikidata items using Commons Mobile app
Note: Open the nearby tab in commons app and search for places that needs the photos. Click the '+' button on app to take the photo/upload the existing one that you have taken. The photos will be uploaded to Wikimedia commons as well as the Wikidata item.
