Structure de données pour les lieux
Par définition, le mot anglais « venue » est défini comme un « lieu où se déroule un événement public ou une réunion » (voir https://dictionary.cambridge.org/de/worterbuch/englisch/venue). Dans l'usage courant, le mot « lieu » est souvent assimilé à un bâtiment en briques et en mortier où se déroulent des événements. Cependant, d'un point de vue conceptuel, un lieu peut être n'importe quel endroit, artificiel ou naturel, à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur, où les humains se rassemblent pour des événements ou des activités publiques. Les traductions du mot anglais « venue » peuvent avoir des significations légèrement différentes.
En revanche, le terme "bâtiment" est généralement défini dans les bases de données terminologiques et les fichiers d'autorité comme un ouvrage de construction ou une structure offrant un abri aux occupants ou au contenu. En langage simple, il peut être défini comme une « structure avec des murs et un toit » (voir https://dictionary.cambridge.org/de/worterbuch/englisch/building). La notion de « bâtiment » apporte une clarté conceptuelle aux éléments de Wikidata décrivant des structures architecturales entières.
Dans Wikidata, le concept de event venue (Q18674739) est trop générique et trop peu défini pour permettre les descriptions précises des lieux culturels. Les classes plus spécifiques telles que performing arts building (Q57660343) et les classes décrivant des salles individuelles dans des bâtiments telles que performance hall (Q112688641) fournissent le bon niveau de clarté et de granularité pour répondre à l'objectif de ce WikiProjet.
Ceci étant dit, pour des raisons de cohérence avec le nom de ce WikiProject, le mot '« lieu » a été conservé dans la structure de données suivante.

Notes sur les propriétés des lieux culturels
- Veillez à créer des éléments distincts pour le lieu et l'organisation. Par exemple : Schauspielhaus Zürich (Q675022) est géré par Schauspielhaus Zürich (Q40313234). Si vous rencontrez des éléments qui décrivent à la fois un lieu et une organisation, suivez ces instructions pour les différencier.
- Pour les déclarations instance of (P31) :
- Si l'élément décrit un bâtiment entier, affirmez-le comme nature de l'élément performing arts building (Q57660343) ou n'importe laquelle de ses sous-classes : performing arts center (Q3469910), theatre building (Q24354), concert hall (Q1060829), opera house (Q153562).
- Si l'élément décrit un espace de spectacle à l'intérieur d'un bâtiment, affirmez-le comme nature de l'élément performance hall (Q112688641).
- Si un bâtiment comporte de nombreux espaces de représentation, de répétition et/ou d'autres espaces publics, créez des éléments distincts pour chaque espace individuel et reliez-les au bâtiment dans son ensemble avec des déclarations has part(s) (P527)/part of (P361). Les espaces/salles individuels à l'intérieur d'un bâtiment peuvent avoir les natures de l'élément suivantes : performance hall (Q112688641), music venue (Q8719053), rehearsal room (Q1911008), exhibition space (Q15206795), conference room (Q3469909), foyer (Q1431210).
- Si un bâtiment comporte plusieurs salles de spectacle, les déclarations maximum capacity (P1083) doivent être fournies pour chaque salle individuelle.
- Les dimensions scèniques peuvent être documentées dans des éléments performance hall (Q112688641). Indiquez has part(s) of the class (P2670)stage (Q194428), puis fournissez les width (P2049), horizontal depth (P5524) et height (P2048) comme qualificatifs (comme dans cet élément modèle).
- Afin de faciliter la réutilisation des informations sur les lieux, il s'agit d'une bonne pratique bon de fournir un hyperlien vers le fiche technique d'un performance hall (Q112688641). Utilisez described at URL (P973) pour indiquer l'URL du fiche technique, puis qualifiez la déclaration de object has role (P3831)technical specification (Q20819677) pour indiquer que l'URL de destination est un document technique. Si un espace donné comporte des fiches techniques disponibles en plusieurs langues, fournissez des valeurs supplémentaires et différenciez chaque URL par un qualificatif language of work or name (P407).
- Un bâtiment peut remplir différentes fonctions et changer de nom avoir au fil du temps. Des déclarations instance of (P31) supplémentaires peuvent être ajoutées et des déclarations name (P2561) peuvent être utilisés pour les anciens noms. Dans ces cas, les qualificatifs start time (P580) et end time (P582) doivent être fournis.
- N'utilisez pas la propriété instance of (P31) pour documenter les fonctions secondaires ou occasionnelles d'un lieu. Utilisez plutôt has use (P366). Par exemple, si la fonction principale d'un lieu n'est pas la présentation de spectacles mais que ce lieu est répertorié à ce titre dans une base de données, il n'est alors pas souhaitable de documenter cette information en ajoutant une valeur à la déclarations instance of (P31). Au lieu, déclarez : has use (P366)performing arts (Q184485) (comme dans Café culture (Q123529912)).
- En plus de date of official opening (P1619), une déclaration significant event (P793) peut être ajoutées pour indiquer le start of manufacturing (Q27136782) du bâtiment.
- Pour les déclarations located in the administrative territorial entity (P131), il s'agit d'une bonne pratique d'utiliser la plus petite localisation administrative (quartier, arrondissement, district, etc.) dans laquelle se trouve le bâtiment. Les localisations administratives plus grandes peuvent être déduites des plus petites.
- Certains éléments utilisent à tort location (P276) pour indiquer la ville dans laquelle se trouve un lieu. La bonne propriété pour cette information est located in the administrative territorial entity (P131).
- Afin de contribuer à la géolocalisation et aux autres types de traitement des données, il est recommandé de remplir le code postal sous forme d'un triplet autonome avec la propriété postal code (P281) (en plus de le remplir dans le cadre de street address (P6375)).
- OpenStreetMap est une base de données ouverte très utile qui contient des informations géographiques sur de nombreux sujets, y compris les lieux culturels. Bien qu'il ne soit pas possible d'établir un lien entre un élément de lieu de Wikidata et un élément d'OpenStreetMap, il est possible de créer un lien d'OpenStreetMap vers Wikidata en utilisant la balise OSM Wikidata. Utilisez Nominatim pour rechercher les lieux culturels dans OpenStreetMap et pour vérifier s'ils ont une balise qui les relie à l'élément de Wikidata équivalent.
Mise en correspondance des modèles d'infobox
Plusieurs Wikipédias, comme le Wikipédia anglais ou portugais, utilisent un modèle très général de Infobox venue pour décrire les lieux de sport et les lieux culturelles. Le Wikipédia français et quelques autres Wikipédias utilisent un modèle pour les lieux culturels qui couvre à la fois les lieux de théâtre et de musique (Infobox Salle de spectacle). D'autres Wikipédias, comme les Wikipédias allemande, espagnole, russe et italienne, utilisent un modèle spécifique pour les lieux de théâtre (Infobox theatre) ; elles peuvent ne pas avoir de modèles spécifiques pour les lieux de musique (par exemple, les Wikipédias allemande, espagnole et italienne).
Certains d'entre eux contiennent un mélange de paramètres, certains se rapportant à un bâtiment et d'autres à une organisation.
