Task/s: Link languages from the EU Vocabularies Language Controlled Vocabulary to languages in Wikidata using the exact match property, possibly enhancing the Wikidata representation with the content taken from the external code-list (additional IDs, names in different languages, descriptions where missing).
Code: The component developed (GitHub) uses Wikidata Toolkit. The component can be used in various pipelines for various tasks loading data into Wikidata.
Function details:
- The component itself can be used for generic editing of Wikidata through the Wikidata Toolkit. It is developed in scope of the Wikidata & ETL project grant and was demoed at a Wikimania 2019 workshop and poster.
- In the current task, it will link languages from the EU Vocabularies Language Controlled Vocabulary to languages in Wikidata using the exact match property, possibly enhancing the Wikidata representation with the content taken from the external code-list (additional IDs, names in different languages, descriptions where missing).
