Motivation[edit]

The California Department of Parks and Recreation website provides information about each California state park including features and services, phone number, park hours, directions, brochures, events, etc. This property will provide a link through each park's identifier. Discussion[edit]

  •  Support - Thanks for adding this, is this something similar for Illinois? Our state/county/municipal park data is really lacking. Prburley (talk)
@Prburley: I had a look at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources website for state parks. The URLs for each park are like these: https://dnr.illinois.gov/parks/park.bannermarsh.html, https://dnr.illinois.gov/parks/park.caveinrock.html, https://dnr.illinois.gov/parks/park.gebhardwoods.html. One could use official URL for these, or there could be a property for the parks ID that would just consist of the part of the URL between park. and .html. If you think an external ID proposal would be better than using the official URL, I could make a proposal for them. AdamSeattle (talk) 19:57, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
