Discussion[edit]

  •  Comment there is more than one method to measure beer color, so there should be determination method (P459) as an obligatory qualifier, if this property is approved. Wostr (talk) 01:01, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Comment GZWDer The values in your examples appear to always be a range; also you've used "Number" rather than "Quantity" as the datatype. If there are limited allowed values maybe an Item datatype would be better? Quantity does support ranges via the error-bar mechanism, but it would not display as you've shown but rather be 10 +- 4 (in the first case) - is this ok? • I admits quantity is not quite suitable for this usage. We can use qualifier to indicate bounds, but this will make the model complicated. For item: we may create (use) item for all possible values, but beer color is not measured as integers, so this probably does not make sense. creating items for ranges is worse. Probably we need two property for upper and lower bound.--GZWDer (talk) 18:01, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
How about using a string and a regular expression [0-9.]{1,5}-[0-9.]{1,5} or more advanced one ([0-9]|[1-9][0-9]])(.[0-9])?-([0-9]|[0-9][0-9]])(.[0-9])?(\+)? Germartin1 (talk) 16:34, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@GZWDer, ArthurPSmith, Cwf97: Another idea, using the middle value with a ± sign (India Pale Ale (Q1543214) → 10±4) Germartin1 (talk) 20:56, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
