Please, what is the advantage of duplicating labels? It seems redundant and makes it difficult to change their name later. Germartin1 (talk) 02:00, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Germartin1: In general English given names are imported as they are in Western Romance languages. I don't understand the reason behind these two rollbacks. E.g. we call Alexandra Musk (Q105538968) in the same way also in Italian, and I'm pretty sure also other languages does. I'm also not doing this in blind mode, but I'm caring of considering only simple names (excluding for instance the cases in which the label include a noble title or other complex cases in which we indeed need a translation). --Horcrux (talk) 07:49, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Yes but there is no direct benefit, as usually English is the fallback language. I just think there should be a Wikidata discussion regarding these duplications Germartin1 (talk) 08:11, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
