Flooder flag request
Hello, I'd like to request flooder flag to do repetitious edits using Quick Statements, specially with Arabic descriptions. Thanks in advance.--Muhammad Abul-Futooh (talk) 20:52, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Muhammad Abul-Futooh: Can you please tell more about the task you are flooding for? Is it a finite task? Lymantria (talk) 05:18, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Currently, I'm adding description of Yemen villages in multiple languages, and then I'm about adding multiple Arabic descriptions to thousands of items, so I believe it is not a finite task.--Muhammad Abul-Futooh (talk) 10:44, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Perhaps a bot is needed here to avoid item history cluttering.[1] Maybe @Mr. Ibrahem: is interested to fill in with his bot all the wanted descriptions at once? --XXN, 11:19, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- I just saw this on Quarry: 656K edits by one user in ~2-3 days via quickstatements. Hmm... This tool should show some warning message to users, suggesting them to apply for a flood flag or to post a bot task on WD:BR if their batches are too big. --XXN, 17:10, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Concerning history cluttering, I started adding description as the way I do, but I think Mr. Ibraheem activated his boot after that to do the same, we can handle this matter together no problem at all. I totally agree with you about warning messages, also it should notify that no multiple patches are allowed on the same time.--Muhammad Abul-Futooh (talk) 23:28, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Then I consider the request as withdrawn. Lymantria (talk) 07:33, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
