Cycling

[edit]

Hello. We have a special BOT https://cycling-init-bot.toolforge.org/home for adding and creating various cycling information (for example, creating stage stages or adding results from firstcycling.com). Depending on the situation, he may do so with a delay. Some information, such as the start and finish points of the stages, will have to be entered manually. You need to register in it and it is possible for its author https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User_talk:Psemdel to confirm it. Everything is quite simple there, there will be questions - ask. GAN (talk) 07:42, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello GAN, thanks for the info about det BOT, didn't now about it. Do you know when its creating stages? Is it after we create the main event? Or is it closer to when the race is? Another question, do you know why there are no colors in the name of the jersey wearer on some of the jerseys? As for example here: https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ster_ZLM_Toer_2023 Where the dark green has no color but the yellow. Because I made one for yellow jersey, young rider classification, which doesn't turn yellow either. (https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q119496153 Wikidata page) (https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgia_rundt_2023 where it is used). I made it exactly the same as the one for the blue jersey, young rider classification The8 (talk) 16:13, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Update in your Wiki Module:Cycling race/data. All jerseys are indicated there, I added the ones you need there. — GAN (talk) 17:26, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help. I see that it hasn't changed on Wikipedia, but maybe it will take some time? But then I also know how/where I can add new jerseys if they have to be made. The8 (talk) 21:21, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • https://dropmefiles.com/e5RDX Template table for semi-manual addition of results
It allows you to add the results of the selected classification with 10 regular riders through a "quickstatements batch". After this, you will only need to replace the drivers with the correct ones at WD.
Using this table, you can also add a team classification. Accordingly, then replace the drivers with teams on “WD”.

Hello. You won't help. This is a Finnish women's race. It is held as a national one (ProCyclingStats, Cycling Archives, CQranking, Cycle Base, First Cycling). But in 2016 she entered UCI Women's Road World Rankings (Q1693153) and won Norwegian Vita Heine (Q16212328). I could only find site archive and one note. Maybe you wrote something about this race? At least 1-2 links. Or maybe something in Finnish. :) — GAN (talk) 08:27, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Not quite sure what you need help with, does it apply to the race or the cyclist Vita Heine? Can try to see if I can find anything about the race, but I haven't written anything about it.
I don't understand Finnish so it might be a bit difficult. The8 (talk) 19:44, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. It's about the race. And since it was at the UCI level (international) and was won by a Norwegian, it was possible that the race was written about in Norway. I want to write a mini-article. I addressed you as someone who knows Norwegian. — GAN (talk) 20:11, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, then I understand a little more. Since you wrote Finnish at the end, I started to wonder a little. I'll sit down one evening when I'm not working and try to look and see if I can find anything in national or local newspapers. There may also be something in Latvian newspapers as she was born in Riga and represented Latvia until 2014 The8 (talk) 21:05, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @GAN:, I have taken a quick look and found 3 links, 2 in Norwegian and 1 in French. The one Norwegian link info that she won the GC, the other is an interview with Heine about the victory. info, interview, French The8 (talk) 18:35, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Now the article will not be completely naked. I can only write an article on statistics sites. But whenever possible I try to supplement it with other sources.

You can write to me what races you would like to do through the Bot. I can do it from my profile. — GAN (talk) 07:58, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome, it's always good to have extra sources. The stages and races I have entered that may need to be created are: Stages on Q122335328, it's 8 stages without prologue. And the one-day race of Giro dell'Emilia 2023 Procyclingstats site. The other races are in October so should be okey until then. Also tried adding cyclists to the 2023 Tour of Taihu Lake race that are not on Wikidata, but there are quite a few riders, so I can wait until I get access. Thanks for the help. The8 (talk) 15:38, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Langkawi tour is ready, the rest of the data (place of strata, finish, distance) is only manually. The bot can't add them. The main element for the race for a specific year is faster to do manually than to fill out the necessary data in the Bot. But the stages for a multi-day race are more convenient through the Bot. I create riders that are not in the WD through Help:QuickStatements using an Excel table (if you know Excel, it’s very simple) - I can give it. You can make a lot of racers at once, rather than one at a time through a Bot. — GAN (talk) 16:05, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much =) Ok, then I'll sit down and make a the one-day race myself. I know excel and I am familiar with it, so I will gladly accept it and familiarize myself with QuickStatements The8 (talk) 16:26, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
https://dropmefiles.com/zUDSn There are two files. 1st file. Table for creating male and female racers (differing in two meanings). It is configured to copy data from http://www.cyclingarchives.com/ But the data can also be entered manually. The instructions are in Russian - you can translate them (I’m writing via Google). 2nd file - screenshot from cyclingarchives. This is what needs to be copied. — GAN (talk) 11:09, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Added to the Module "Intermediatesprintclassification" - element classification of the best at metas volantes (P4958), leader of the intermediate sprint classification (Q27104688), winner of the intermediate sprint classification (Q27067359)

You need to update the module /Module:Cycling_race module and Module:Cycling race/l10n. And create a template.

Example "Giro d'Italia 2023"

Intermediate sprint
RiderTeamPoints
1erLAT Toms Skujiņš Trek-Segafredo

sprint classification - (P4322, Q20883329, Q20883328)

GAN (talk) 10:30, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but I don't quite know how to insert it or create a new page. Can't find any intermediatesprint classification like P4322 either, and don't know how to make P pages either. I have a feeling that I might destroy more than I create without the right knowledge The8 (talk) 00:44, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
1, 2, 3, 4 Or use the "Sprint" parameter instead of "intermediate sprints". — GAN (talk) 01:02, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, will read through, try to understand and learn to remember for another time The8 (talk) 01:29, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
