Hey there! Just noticed Special:Diff/1939242793 − would you mind adding the source of the ID somehow? Either via Edit summary − something like “Add IGDB ID based on Steam application ID” − or adding a reference using stated in (P248) or matched by identifier from (P11797)? See Special:Diff/1938625653 for an example of what I have in mind. Thanks!

Adding references via the old wikidata Ruby gem is a bit difficult, but I think I should be able to do that.
I've updated the script to now create references as well 👍
Awesome, thanks! I checked a recent diff, it looks perfect :)
Thanks for the additions! Out of curiosity, where does the data come from? Going forward, could you add that information as reference? (eg - stated in (P248) PCGamingWiki (Q17013880) (or - imported from Wikimedia project (P143) English Wikipedia (Q328) if it’s a Wikipedia)? It can really be helpful much later, especially if there are mismatches/conflicting information. Cheers! Jean-Fred (talk) 09:21, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, all of those came from Steam (the single player/multiplayer feature tags in the sidebar on Steam store pages). I'll add that to my script for the next time I run it.
How does the bot know which IGDB identifier belong to which game?
I’m matching it based on Steam IDs and then checking whether the name on Wikidata matches the name on IGDB, essentially as a backup to make sure it isn’t introducing bad data.
You can see the Ruby script I’m running here: https://github.com/connorshea/random-scripts/blob/da9e3c6aa035845b204b12a91fbbeea0ce825cf2/wikidata/igdb/igdb.rb
@Trade: ^ sorry, I can’t remember if Flow automatically sends you a notification. :P
Hi! Can you please show the link to the approved permission request for this bot edit?
Hi! Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't subscribed to my bot's talk page before now. I guess I never requested permissions for the Steam App ID qualifiers. I don't think I realized I needed to do it for each type of data import I was doing, I'll make sure to keep that in mind going forward.
