exact match[edit]

What about exact match (P2888)?

SELECT * WHERE { ?item wdt:P2888 ?uri }
Try it!

@Fnielsen: that doesn’t affect our RDF output, as far as I’m aware. --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 11:03, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Open Library formatter URI for RDF resource[edit]

Hi Lucas, I saw the LOD announcement on the Wikidata mailing list, great work! I just added a formatter URI for RDF resource (P1921) to Open Library ID (P648) which is represented in LOD Cloud Hopefully I have done that correctly, and it is helpful! I can see the results in the rdf e.g. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:EntityData/Q134461.rdf Let me know if there is anything else I need to do to ensure the linkage is good. Regards, Salpynx (talk) 23:34, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Salpynx: Well, when I follow the link in your example, I am redirected from https://openlibrary.org/works/OL6976867A to https://openlibrary.org/authors/OL6976867A, so I’m not sure if that formatter URL is completely correct… --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 11:07, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No, the URI is actually not correct but it's not possible to do it with only one property for both works and authors and the current URI formatter system. We should probably split the property but it's a bit of work. Tpt (talk) 18:51, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

uniprot[edit]

@Pintoch: You added a “uniprot” dataset – what’s the source for it? We seem to have two properties for that dataset, but I can see only six links for both of them combined on WDQS. --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 11:00, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I believe you wanted to ping me. I have just added yesterday June 11th the formatter URI for RDF resource (P1921) values to UniProt protein ID (P352) and UniProt journal ID (P4616) so it's normal that the links are not yet on WDQS. The amount is the number of current usages of the property, so the expected number of links when the RDF description of all items are going to be updated. Tpt (talk) 18:46, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Tpt: yes, I’m very sorry, I got you two mixed up :(
regarding the number of links, that’s an interesting question which one we should report to the LOD Cloud… are people more likely to use the dumps (complete links) or the query service (incomplete links)? It’s a shame we can’t automatically refresh those items in WDQS (at least as far as I know). --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 12:49, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I’m not sure if it’s correct to merge the two properties into one LOD Cloud dataset, but I’ll have to look into that in more detail later. --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 12:49, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Tpt: I agree it makes sense to merge them, and I’ve also switched the query to count all triples, not just normalized ones. --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 14:33, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

open-library[edit]

@Pintoch: You added a “open-library” dataset – what’s the source for it? I only see about a thousand links for Open Library ID (P648) in WDQS. Also, the RDF formatter URL we use for that property is currently https://openlibrary.org/works/$1, but the description on the LOD Cloud doesn’t mention a /works/ path. --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 11:02, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I believe you wanted to ping me. My source is the number of current usages of the property, so the expected number of links when the RDF description of all items are going to be updated on WDQS. The example RDF file of the LOD dataset is using this kind of URIs (rdrel:workManifested property). Tpt (talk) 18:46, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Tpt: Hm, isn’t this another property that needs to be split up? It seems to me like /works is only the right path for “W” IDs, and for other IDs they use /authors and /books :/ --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 12:51, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. I just started a discussion about it on the property talk page. Tpt (talk) 14:16, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some extra database[edit]

Here is a list of some database that I believe could be added to the LOD cloud:
