DangSunM (talk) 15:27, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

p.s 한국어 레이블을 추가하기 전에는 반드시 언어를 한국어로 바꾸어 주셔야 합니다. --DangSunM (talk) 15:29, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Brussels[edit]

Hi, please do not keep moving enwiki's article "Brussels" from Q240 to Q9005. Links should always be placed on a precise entity if possible. The enwiki article Brussels is about the Brussels-Capital Region, so it should be on that item, not on Q9005 which is meant for all articles that cannot be put in either Q240 or Q239. See the talk page of these items. Thanks, SPQRobin (talk) 19:29, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

novels and 소설[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you merged Q9493937 (ko:분류:소설, zh:Category:小说, et al.) to Q3919902 (en:Category:Novels, zh:Category:长篇小说, et al.), and merged Q9493344 (ko:분류:중국 소설, zh:Category:中国小说, et al.) to Q8363240 (en:Category:Chinese novels, zh:Category:中文長篇小說, et al.). However, en:Novel refers to ko:장편소설 or zh:長篇小說, not ko:소설 or zh:小说, which includes novels, novellas, and short stories. Therefore the relevant categories should also be separated accordingly, and should not be merged. I have reverted your merges. Thanks. --Neo-Jay (talk) 14:13, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

merge with redirect[edit]

Hi, Tsuchiya Hikaru. Thanks for your contributions. For your information, Wikidata can create redirect page now. When you merge items, please change the merged one to a redirect page (as I did to Q10732324) so that the merged item is not blanked and will not be deleted. The option of creating redirect page can be found at Merge.js for merge. Another thing is that an item should usually be merge into another item with lower Qid. Best regards. --Neo-Jay (talk) 14:39, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop confusing en:Novel with ko:소설[edit]

Hi, can you understand English? You once again confused the concept en:Novel with ko:소설. I clarify them again here: en:Novel = ko:장편소설 = zh:長篇小說 ; and ko:소설 = zh:小说, which includes novels (장편소설), novellas (중편 소설), and short stories (단편 소설). Please stop messing up the inter-language links. Thank You! --Neo-Jay (talk) 17:47, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No, en:Novel = ko:소설 = zh:小说 / ko:장편소설 = en:full-length novel. Tsuchiya Hikaru (talk) 12:48, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That's not correct. en:full-length novel even does not exist. Please read en:Novel: "A novel is a long narrative". Please note that novels do not include novellas or short stories, but 소설 includes 중편 소설 (novellas) and 단편 소설 (short stories). --Neo-Jay (talk) 02:16, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

mixed up pantomime items[edit]

Hello, can you have a look at Talk:Q39818? with [1] and other edits you mixed up different things. i reverted most of the changes (not all), and hope the explanation helps to understand why.

in such cases it is usually better to move only individual links (if you think something is wrong), but not to merge complete items. Holger1959 (talk) 06:21, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merging items[edit]

Hallo Gray eyes,

You may want to check out Help:Merge for information about merging items. That would give you more practical means to to this than manually, like you did with Q6976598 and Q7007143.

Nintendo Entertainment System family[edit]

Hi, Gray eyes! I noticed that you moved zh:FC游戏机 from Nintendo Entertainment System (Q172742) to Family Computer (Q491640). However, Nintendo Entertainment System (Q172742) refers to the 8-bit video game console and its variants (i.e. The Famicom family), rather than refers to NES the Western version in particular. A thing must have a name, unlike most of counties prefer to use American version names, Chinese-speaking regions tend to use Japanese names to call Japanese video games (or consoles). That's why I believe zh:FC游戏机 should be linked by Nintendo Entertainment System (Q172742), rather than Family Computer (Q491640) specific for the Japanese version. --風中的刀劍 (talk) 14:02, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

International observances[edit]

Hey, it appears we are both working on the same items and undoing what the other is contributing. Let's discuss.

Do you agree with this? Also, please, from now on, notify me if your don't agree with a change I do. Thanks -- LaddΩ chat ;) 14:43, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this. -- Gray eyes (talk) 15:32, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK so I will:
  1. Resolve conflicts between categories Category:International years (Q9620186) (international observances) and Category:United Nations observances (Q8977928) (United Nations observances) and their respective corresponding items;
  2. Move back from world day (world day (Q2558684)) to international observances (observance (Q16675435)) the interwiki links that describe multiple periods of observances, such as the Italian link;
  3. Also I will add English and other language labels to international decade (Q16675450) (for decades) and others as needed
  4. Finally I will interconnect these through subclass of (P279) as much as possible, with the top parent being observance (Q16675435) (international observances) which I will try to restore as a plain parent (with likely NO interwiki links at all).
I'll keep you informed so that you can give me your comments, if any. Cheers -- LaddΩ chat ;) 00:34, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!
Why are you reverting my changes?
I did them because, in enwiki, WannaCry is a redirect to WannaCry ransomware attack. The article won't show up in dewiki with your revert. --Titore (talk) 10:25, 21 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request[edit]

Hello.

Could you create the articles en:Architecture of Azerbaijan (Republic of Azerbaijan), en:List of Azerbaijani film directors (Republic of Azerbaijan) and en:Bodies of water of Azerbaijan (Republic of Azerbaijan) in Korean (or request them yourself to other users in Korean Wikipedia)?

Thank you.

31.200.13.226 14:50, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please don't move links from Q9134365 (UK Monarch) to Q739941 (UK Monarchy). Monarch (Q116) and monarchy (Q7269) are different concepts. And please don't remove redirect links, which are allowed to be added to Wikidata items (see Wikidata:Requests for comment/A need for a resolution regarding article moves and redirects). I left a message on Talk:Q9134365 and you ignored it. Please discuss this issue on Talk:Q9134365. Thanks. --Neo-Jay (talk) 01:14, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You kept ignoring my messages and made edits without discussion. Again, please don't confuse Q9134365 (UK Monarch) with Q739941 (UK Monarchy), and please don't remove redirect pages from Wikidata item. Your edits have been reverted (see this and this). --Neo-Jay (talk) 18:31, 28 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Automated report of empty item: Q17996003[edit]

Hello, an item that you have edited (and you are the only non-bot editor) is considered empty and will be deleted in 72 hours if it doesn't improve. Your automated cleaner, Dexbot (talk) 05:24, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gray eyes,

has the Korean sitelink been wrong or why have you practically disabled this item?-- U. M. Owen (talk) 13:44, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

'게이' ('Gay') in Korean-language means 'gay man' in English-language. Gray eyes (talk) 14:11, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop any edits to this item besides the Korean interwiki. Why are you removing the interwiki links?--U. M. Owen (talk) 14:16, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't delete Interwiki, I merged it. Gray eyes (talk) 14:17, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Do you understand German? You can't merge articles which don't describe the same meaning! gay is an adjective in German – if you move it to gay man (Q104969456) you practically vandalize.

I would suggest suggest moving the Korean article to ko:게이 남성 to make clear that it means gay men.--U. M. Owen (talk) 14:22, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It is not usually expressed as a '게이 남성' ('gay man') in South Korea. The word 'gay' itself refers to 'men'. Gray eyes (talk) 14:26, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved the Korean interwiki link. Do you suggest any further changes to the other languages?
May you please create an example sentence in Korean using 게이? Is 그는 게이다 a valid sentence?--U. M. Owen (talk) 14:30, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Japanese gay seems to be replaced here. If you look at the Japanese version, the English article has been translated. Gray eyes (talk) 14:35, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
'그는 게이다'('He is gay') is a very valid and heavily used sentence. Gray eyes (talk) 14:36, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disclaimer: I will not change anything related to Korean since I don't speak the language. Could you also translate '그는 게이다' as 'He is a gay'? Otherwise I'm convinced again that 게이 is an adjective (Q34698).--U. M. Owen (talk) 14:41, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It is not clear in Korean-language whether 'gay' is an adjective or a noun. Korean is my mother tongue. '그는 게이다' as 'He is a gay', yes. But, 'This gay is handsome' ('이 게이는 잘생겼다') is also valid sentence. Gray eyes (talk) 14:46, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
