Well, perhaps I should have elaborated that I have been comparing Instagram tags with Twitter hashtags. While the second seems to be used more widely and it can be sourced, I haven't seen the same with Instagram tags. We already have Instagram username (P2003), so that should be enough for most cases. I also have observed that Instagram tags are generally not curated by the community, so they tend to be used in a very haphazard fashion.

So, not a requirement, then. Your role as a property creator is to asses the consensus of the community. Please reopen the proposal.

Andy, there is no consensus for creation of that property.

Pigsonthewing (talkcontribs)

There are only three opposes; all of which are stated on the basis of the data-type. Also, as made clear above, your grounds for closing are bogus. Like I said: "Please reopen the proposal".

It is not worth reopening the discussion of an archived proposal that had a wrong data type, specially since it had been stalled for a long time. If you want you can submit a new proposal with the right data type.

Pigsonthewing (talkcontribs)

It didn't have the "wrong" datatype. If you wish to discuss or dispute the datatype, you can do so on the reopened proposal, as an ordinary participant.

For the third time: Please reopen the proposal.

In my opinion the proposal was rightfully closed, and my recommendation is to submit a new proposal. If you don't agree, you can bring more attention to this topic on the project chat, and we can continue discussing it there.
