Good evening! I can see that you have merged the different former names of Christiania and Kristiania. Please notice that untill 1924 the only official name was written Christiania. After 1905 the name was sligthly transkripted to Kristiania, thous bot name was used. Christiania was the oldest name and used parallel to Kristiania for a period. Untill the name of the city was changed to Oslo. The matter is much related to the two official Norwegian Languages. Your mergin do not work as it is done now and I kindlly ask you to revert Your changes. Best regards

Hi. I'm sorry if it was not appropriate, it is unmerged now. But I still think current situation is not convenient :

  • "Christiania" Q21711493 wikidata item data concerns entire period, from 1624 to 1924. It is linked to only an article, from Nn, which seems to treat 1624-1870 period only. The French article was a homonymy page I've just linked to Q292781.
  • "Kristiania" Q2375936 wikidata item contains practically no data. It is linked to Is article which treats entire period (1624-1924), as Nn and No articles do. Nl article treat firstly 1878-1924 period.

I'm not against having 2 different items in Wikidata, but we should improve data and verify the links to wikipedia articles. It is quite confusing now.
