Times[edit]
@Pasleim: why can't I use start time and end time for these eclipses? MSGJ (talk) 10:16, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- Wikidata doesn't yet support date/time values preciser than a day. Your claims made here were parsed as starting date in year 132 and end date in year 512. --Pasleim (talk) 10:41, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding. I find it astounding that we have properties for such trivial details as number of elevators in a building but not something fundamental like a time. Is there some more background on this somewhere? MSGJ (talk) 12:22, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- Number of elevators in a building is easy, as it is only a simple number. Time values, however, are more complicated as you also need to indicate the time zone and values should automatically be converted from one time zone to another as not all Wikidata users live in the same one. This is more difficult to implement but the developer team is working on it. --Pasleim (talk) 12:50, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
