Place of birth[edit]
Why is it not possible to provide an edit summary for standard actions like the removal of a value? Anyway back on topic: the removed place of birth is just a theory, not a proven fact. GermanJoe (talk) 15:25, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
- @GermanJoe: If we simply remove it, eventually it will re-added.
- I think adding a qualifier sourcing circumstances (P1480) would be preferable. Maybe with value hypothesis (Q41719) and some reference that supports it.
- If we know it's wrong, we can set it to deprecated rank.
- itwiki doesn't seem to provide a reference for the place.
--- Jura 13:56, 12 March 2018 (UTC)- @Jura1:, thank you for the tip and for adding such a qualifier to avoid misunderstandings (I am more of a casual Wikidata user, with little to no knowledge about these technical details). As far as I know, the claim is not "wrong" per se, but just a theory based on one publication (see en-Wiki for the reference about this theory). It could be right or wrong, depending on the results of possible future research. GermanJoe (talk) 15:12, 19 March 2018 (UTC)
