Not solely Roman Rite[edit]

This item does not refer to churches only in the Roman Rite. It can refer to any building of the 24 Catholic Churches. If we wish to designate Latin Church buildings only, then that can be subclassed from this item and designated as Roman Rite. But this is a general-purpose superclass, and must not be limited as Roman Rite. Elizium23 (talk) 13:30, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

77, good news! I have created Catholic church building as a subclass of this item. Now we have your desired effect of Roman Rite property with no fuss. All we need to do is change each item that refers here to the new item instead. Elizium23 (talk) 13:40, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
77 (talk) 13:55, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
77 (talk) 13:59, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Translation: I fixed all the errors in the message above, are you satisfied with the final version? 77 (talk) 14:14, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Catholic church building and Catholic church building[edit]

77: What’s the difference between a Catholic church building (no description) and a Catholic church building (description: church building of the Catholic Church)? Based on the English labels and descriptions, nothing, and these two items are duplicates, not parent and subclasses. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 17:11, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Translation: The answer is in the section above: "in the Eastern Slavic languages (for example, Russian), the "kostyol" (Catholic church building) = Catholic church (Catholic church building) only in some Eastern European countries. For the rest of the world, this term does not apply." I don't speak English well enough to convey these differences. Once again: the church is a Catholic church in Poland, the Baltic States and some other Eastern European countries, there are 2 articles in the Russian Wikipedia. For reference: one of the Catholic bishops of Russia was asked whether a Catholic church in Russia should be called a church, he replied: "in Russia, a Catholic church cannot be called a kostyol," I think this is the opinion of an expert. 77 (talk) 19:51, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
