Quantity or Activity[edit]
Currently, this item is both a physical quantity and a molecular function. The words "quantity" and "function" mean different things, the first referring to something quantifiable, that is, a number and unit, and the latter to what it is, that something is doing. Toni 001 (talk) 08:57, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- I moved the GeneOntology statements to catalysis (Q82264), which is about a "process" and therefore a better fit for a molecular function. While I don't know the GeneOntology well, from reading some of their definitions, it seems that their molecular functions describe what the purpose of a substance is; I find it somewhat misleading to call that "activity".
