On May 26, 1948, Hans andKarl Klemm were arrested by the Leipzig police and an investigation was begun by the District Attorney’soffice. In February 1949, a trial was held in the Leipzig District Court. The auction house’s business activitieswere judged to constitute active support of the Nazi Regime, along with illicit personal enrichment. (English)
