Domain
The above examples indicate that the proposal was mainly made to have property available for the language of names. However, during the discussion, Property:P407 was renamed from language of work to language of work or name [1]. So since we have a property for the language of works, names and persons, which domains will be covered by this property? --Pasleim (talk) 20:31, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- +1, it's a strange property. While someone [[Wikidata:Properties for deletion#language of work or name (P407) and original language of film or TV show (P364)|thinks that 2 language properties are too much]], one another was created. --Infovarius (talk) 20:36, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
This property functions as a parent property for language of work or name (P407) and original language of film or TV show (P364) as well as all other requirements for a language property. Thus, the domain for this property is very broad and the domains for the other two are subsets of this property's domain. To Infovarius's point, I could very well see both sub-properties dissolved and rolled into this one should the discussion drift that way. Josh Baumgartner (talk) 00:43, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
