  • Wikidata Working Hour Updates (Hilary)
    • Last year did first working hour series focusing on children’s books by diverse creators.
    • Potential spring series: We Here's publication Up//root  has citation guides of LIS articles/outputs by diverse creators
    • If there’s interest, would be fun to create/enhance those journal articles in Wikidata, and working on authors, as well as incorporating Author Disambiguator, Scholia, etc.
    • If anyone is interested in participating or volunteering, please reach out.
  • Call for group call topics:  Are there projects, tools, papers, etc. that you would be interested to learn more about?  What would you like group call programming to cover?  (Susan)
    • As well as looking for call facilitators, also interested in seeking different call topics.
    • Possible topics (Sarah will also open a thread on Slack channel):
      • Wikidata Religion & Theology Community of Practice
      • Advocacy: convincing the library/archival community there’s value in embracing Wikidata
      • Sound recordings on Wikidata proved very time-consuming (Each track needed its own item–separate item for each movement of a classical work and for performances of each movement!). MARC record was easier!
      • Works vs. editions of scores (modeling for music)
      • Works vs. editions vs. performances
      • to WEMI or not to WEMI - how to start building a data model in wikidata from scratch
      • Perhaps Wikibase group could make a presentation every few months to enhance communication.
  • LD4 Steering Committee 2023-2025 Goals  (Susan & Eric)
    • Three Themes:
      • Training & Professional Education
      • Common frameworks & systems to share information
      • Increase discoverability and interoperability of library materials on the open web
  • Advocacy Survey and future discussion (Sarah)
    • A recent Group Call raised the question of how we advocate for Wikidata work in our organizations.
    • In order to facilitate a discussion, we’ve created a brief survey to gather some of your thoughts.  https://forms.gle/HLPvSTbaVF7LDbTQ6
    • The survey will be open until February 13, 2023
    • If you would be interested in sharing your experience in a future group call, please add your name and email address to the final question of the survey -- we will be in touch to coordinate a date with those who have expressed interest.
