By the way, it is interesting to me that you would use it in diplomacy, since there I see that there has been a good solution for this topic for a long time, the diplomatic mission sent (P531). There, the possibilities of use are well illustrated by the example on the property's page.

@Swpbː Ihope we canrestart thediscussion somewhere on the of (P642) property deprecation project pages, and i just ask for some assistance in clearing a place for that discussion, As to diplomatic mission sent (P531) which we will have to relate to as well, I discovered that property only long after I had explored the many ad-hoc items such as British ambassador to France and whatever I saw, in short, it looked like amess, and I wanted to untangle it, as "of" in some cases referred to the country the ambasador served, and in some cases referred to where he was sent, which is why I came up with those two suggested properties, to be used in conjunction when appropriate.SM5POR (talk) 08:58, 12 May 2024 (UTC)

Embassies

Hello Pallor, I'm writing to you again about embassies. As I said before, embassies are considered organizations, therefore they should not use P131 because they are not a physical object. Instead, they should be linked to the places they operate in. This: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q572567&oldid=prev&diff=2153189917 is an example of the old mixup. The source Archinform is about architecture and buildings: the embassy building is located in Vienna, and it should have its own item with relevant information. The organization has its seat in that building, and the building hosts the organization, so the two items will be linked. Kedves Pallor, szia! Most belezavarodtam kicsit a tárgyban szereplő fogalmak használatába. Sárközy József Q125306762 elemében a rokonság típusa rovatba, ha bevittem Perczel Mórt Q680723, akkor Perczel Mórra vonatkozik a típus (azaz vő), vagy Sárközy Józsefre (azaz após), miután Júlia leányát vette feleségül? Bizottmány: ez engem is megkever néha, ilyenkor próbálok példákat keresni: János Áder (Q57467) elemében rokonként meg van adva a feleségének, Anita Herczegh (Q17278676)-nak az apja, és az van odaírva, hogy father-in-law (Q13204680). Válly vagy Vállyi János

Szia, a fenti képviselő neve csak a Főnemességi Adattárban Válly Q126690150, a többi forrásokban úgy láttam, hogy Vállyi. Van adatod, ami az előbbi mellett szól, vagy átírhatom Vállyira a nevet. Köszönöm szépen! Bizottmány (talk) 11:20, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Én máshol is látom Vállyként ([1]), szerintem mindkét név használatban volt. Az egyiket (rád bízom melyiket) a címkébe, a másikat az egyéb nevekbe írd szerintem. Pallor (talk) 11:28, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Közben nézegettem, és valóban az i-s változat a gyakoribb (Vállyi), tedd azt a címkébe, és a másikat az egyéb nevekhez. A forrásban feltüntetett Képviselők és főrendek...-be nem kell sok adat, csak az állítás forrása, az oldalszám, hozzáférés ideje, és igen, jól mondod, ebben az esetben segíthet a feltüntetett név is (ne tévesszen meg, hogy én a sokadatos forrást teszem be, nekem így van elmentve, de valójában elég lenne három-négy sor, nem kell kézzel azt a rengeteg infót minden egyes tételhez bevinni). Kiegészítés: Mi legyen a családnévvel? Döntsd el a Vállyi János lapon, vagy egészítsd ki légy szíves a Válly családnév Q126692726 változatot. Én is találtam Válly névváltozatot, különösen a jánkmajtisi Válly-kastély kapcsán. A Commonson létrehozandó kategória miatt kellene. Köszi.--Bizottmány (talk) 12:18, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
