Polish articles[edit]

Hello.

Can you translate and upload en:Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater and en:National Art Museum of Azerbaijan in Polish Wikipedia over an extended period at your pleasure?

They should not be long.

Yours sincerely, Karalainza (talk) 08:18, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kamieniołomy[edit]

Hello! See the contents of the Steinbruch – Wikipedia article, for example. Dawne kamieniołomy: ancient stone quarry (Q16697383). Leon II (talk) 17:07, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Leon II, this article fits to Q8614257. As is pl, mk and da. Q15115254 is about ancient stone mining. The de, pl, mk and da categories are about general quarries. Compare Wikidata of the main articles in these categories. I did it, and I am convinced you did an absolutely erroneous assignment. Please, revert to my version. Particularly, do you think you know better than Polish wikipedians how to assign Polish category? It is amazing. Regards, Michał Sobkowski (talk) 18:44, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I won't claim the Polish version, but for some reason you do it together with the German one, so I reverted it all together. Steinbruch is exactly a stone quarry and in Germany it is not an outdated term. A more general German term closer to 'quarry' is Tagebau – Wikipedia, but their article itself is more about technology (Tagebautechnik), so it is not tied to Q188040 or (even better) to Q113594123. The Danish article also says nothing about 'obsolescence'. Anyway, "stone quarry" is a subclass of "quarry", let's leave it at that. I will not interfere with the assignment of the Polish article, but do not spread this to other language versions. Regards, Leon II (talk) 19:26, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I have divided the categories according to their content: Category:Stone pits (Q7779987) та Q116688216. The content of the ru-category obviously applies only to ancient stone quarries, what they have with the current use of the term - I have no idea, but I don't care. Also I have moved the relevant articles in Ukrainian. Regards, --Leon II (talk) 12:37, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
