Tool per le immagini su wikidata

Ciao e scusa il disturbo. Da circa sette mesi sto segnalando a utenze a vocazione locale media o forte su itwikipedia e altre piattaforme alcuni strumenti per svolgere ulteriori mansioni qui su wikidata. Mi ricordo che hai una predilezione per la zona del Lazio (e Zurigo?).

Premessa: wikidata ha elementi a cui, oltre ai link a altre piattaforme wiki, sono associate "proprietà" (data di morte, luogo di nascita, anno di fondazione, identificativo bibliometrico...). Una delle meno importanti (per wikidata) è l'immagine. Anche l'immagine andrebbe prima o poi associata all'elemento di wikidata, ma non è una delle principali mancanze e questo viene fatto più lentamente.

L'immagine di wikidata però ha il vantaggio di essere "centralizzata", soprattutto se manca e segnala una carenza. Uno strumento basato su wikidata è utilizzabile da ogni utente wiki di altre lingue o progetti anche se solo di passaggio, mentre strumenti come il template richiesta immagini in locale sono poco conosciuti fuori da una specifica wiki.

Ti segnalo in merito questo. Se metti per esempio a "article" "it" e "Roma" avrai l'insieme di items/elementi di wikidata segnalati come mancanti di immagine vicino a Roma. Il numero di elementi dipende dal raggio (radius) che metti, e di default è 5 km. L'obiettivo è mettere la giusta image, se esiste già, sull'elemento wikidata, e al limite inserire anche la commons category, se esiste anch'essa già. Segnalo come a altri qui o qua dove puoi trovare una spiegazione più accurata lasciata a altri utenti.

Come puoi vedere dalla tua esperienza, non si tratta a volte di una reale mancanza di immagini nella wiki locale o su commons, in molti casi l'immagine c'è manca solo qui su Wikidata da inserire. Si trovano voci di località, stazioni ferroviarie, chiese, palazzi, piazze, siti archeologici etc (alcune a cui magari tu stesso hai contribuito) e sarebbe utile di rimuovere i "falsi positivi" delle mancanze segnalate in modo da poter capire meglio dove si trovano le mancanze vere. Così se hai tempo tu come altri potrete andare di persona a fotografarle. O magari chissà possiamo usare questo strumento per farci un bel concorso, un giorno (sperare non costa nulla).

Te lo segnalo come con altre utenze "locali" perché limitatamente all'Italia abbiamo poche centinaia di utenti attivi per 8000 comuni, e poco meno di una trentina hanno finora ripulito/sincronizzato commons e wikidata riguardo alla propria zona. Ognuno che se ne occupa è quindi benvenuto.

Questo è solo uno dei possibili strumenti, ce ne sono molti altri e spero mano mano di spiegare a chi è interessato come funzionano e come questo alla lunga migliori la possibilità di trovare nuove immagini, oltre a ricevere feedback su come implementarli ancora. Spargi con piacere la voce fra chi conosci, controlla al massimo la talk su wikidata se non l'ho già informato. In Lazio mi hanno risposto in pochi finora, in altre zone è andata molto meglio

wikidata è vasta e ha molte facce, in teoria itwikipedia è una delle piattaforme più integrate nel senso che ci pesca i dati molto più di altre (vedi gli infobox). In pratica ci sono centinaia di wikipediani attivi e competenti che editano su wikidata solo indirettamente spostando pagine di titolo o collegandole a altre lingue, come te, non sanno quasi nulla. Bastava chiedere in giro un anno fa per rendersene conto. Per questo ho iniziato una delle possibili campagne informative, male non poteva fare. Ho scelto la gestione immagini perché sono più intuitive e per affinità con un altro progetto, ho continuato su quel settore perché grossomodo piace e altri si occupano di altro, ma davvero c'è di tutto qui. Name correction

Hello.

Durusu is today the official name of the lake (only this name appears on signs); Terkos is the former historic name, even though it is sometimes mentioned (unofficially), e.g. like Mumbai and Bombay. Can you change the article name please? The old name should be put beside the current name, just like in the Mumbai articles.

Can you translate and upload the article en:List of volcanoes in Azerbaijan in Italian Wikipedia, e.g. like the article it:Vulcani del Giappone?

Can you also translate and upload the article en:List of volcanoes in Italy in Italian Wikipedia? It is surprising that there is no specific article at all dedicated to Italy's volcanoes in Italian Wikipedia. The it:Template:Vulcani italiani can be added to this article. There is an article it:Vulcani della Sardegna, but it is the only one covering a region of Italy.

Thank you very much for your uploads, especially it:Vulcani d'Italia! As you can see from my IP number, I live in Ankara, Turkey, where Wikipedia is banned and blocked since April 2017, along with tens of thousands of other websites. And the list keeps growing. We can only read Wikipedia via proxies, but of course no editing and communicating is possible. Interestingly, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons are still not banned and blocked yet, just like in China, which are our only means of access and communication. Living in Turkey under Erdoğan, which is steadily becoming more authoritarian, oppressive, intolerant and Islamized, is very depressing, stifling and unbearable. People abroad can only really understand the situation, when living here. And there are so many of us who want to leave, and many people I personally know have left the country, never to return. Sorry to bore you with this.

No, you don't annoy me at all! I know well Turkey, where I spend often my holidays, and I love the Turkish people, so similar to the Italian one. About democracy in Turkey, don't worry either: as the result in Istanbul today showed, if the majority of the people are not happy with the government, they can give the power someone else.
