I am an electronics engineer by training (ETH Zurich dipl. ing and UC Berkeley M. Sc.). Have done R&D work in the US and Switzerland (computer HW design, pattern recognition, measuring instrumentation, display technologies, communications). In addition, became involved in business administation. Interests broadened later on. Have done many edits (over 2000) in the German and English WP since 2011.
