Usage

This template removes disambiguation companion text (the part in parentheses) from the page title, as well as the leading whitespace.

Syntax

• {{Title without disambig}}
• {{Title without disambig| «title»}}
• Not using {{Title without disambig| {{PAGENAME}} }} , is unnecessary and redundant.

Notes

• If a "title" is not defined, it takes the one from the current page.
• Only removes the addition when the character preceding it is a whitespace.
• The text after the parenthesis closes, if any, is not deleted.

Examples

• {{Title without disambig| Title (queue)}} → Title
• {{Title without disambig| Normal title}} → Normal title
• {{Title without disambig}} → Title without disambig (the current page)
• {{Title without disambig| One text (with) two (parentheses)}} → One text (with) two (parentheses)
• {{Title without disambig| A parenthesis that (opens but does not close}} → A parenthesis that (opens but does not close
• {{Title without disambig| The text (follows) after.}} → The text after.
• {{Title without disambig| 12 (3) 45}} → 12 45
