Strange subject[edit]

@Obscuraa: It seems there are two types of article linked to this item. On the one hand, Wikipedia articles about both the 1917 and 1983 codes of canon law for the Latin Catholic churches, which are both called Codex Iuris Canonici. Frankly, I do not understand why the authors of those article have not made two separate entries for each edition of the code. It appears the Orthodox Encyclopedia also has an article on both codes. On the other hand, we have article covering the canon law of the Catholic Church, both East and West, throughout the centuries. So, what should we do? Maybe we could turn this item into an item for Catholic canon law, and put the articles about the Codex Iuris Canonici into the DAB item Q104855798. Veverve (talk) 03:44, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, I think I've made a mistake by linking these articles to entities. 2458739 (Orthodox Encyclopedia ID) should be linked to Q7341605, and 1841634 to Q3682084. Obscuraa (talk) 09:01, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Obscuraa: You have made no mistake, as the Orthodox Encyclopedia ID you added covers exactly what is the subject of some WP articles: both the 1917 and 1983 Codex Iuris Canonici. It is not your fault, it is due to this item (Q7341605) being linked to both Wikipedia articles on the 1917 and 1983 Codex Iuris Canonici, and to WP articles on Catholic canon law as a whole. What do you think should be done to fix this confusion? Veverve (talk) 15:10, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
