According to BBC Radio 3, Veit Bach died before 1578, but I cannot write "before 1578" in the corresponding field. I'm glad to get any help. --Лорд Бъмбъри (talk) 13:18, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Лорд Бъмбъри:Thank you. You can add date of death but insert no number - you choose on the left of the field value unknown. Now it is possible to add qualifier earliest date. Regards, Conny (talk) 13:38, 5 March 2015 (UTC).
- @Conny:, according to Radio 3 "Veit Bach (d. before 1578) was Johann Sebastian Bach's great-great-grandfather and the founder of the Bachs as a musical dynasty; he is often confused with another Veit (d 1619) of whom little is known and who may have been a son or nephew." This Veit Bach is the object of this article, and not the other, of whom little is known. According to your citation, (http://www.wechmar-bach.de/tourismus/veit_muehle.htm), "Johann Sebastian Bach schreibt über seinen Stammvater Veit Bach, der am 8. Martii 1619 in Wechmar verstarb", the first Bach died on 8th of March 1619. Which is correct? --Лорд Бъмбъри (talk) 14:29, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Лорд Бъмбъри: I think we should keep both at first. I asked here for other sources. Thank you for correcting my mistake :) . The values can coexist till the right one is found. Greetings, Conny (talk) 14:32, 5 March 2015 (UTC).
