I think this Wikidata item should be merged with either Q2073304 or Q25640421, both of which have articles in Dutch discussing the caves. GreenVolvox (talk) 16:44, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Q25640421: needs Dutch expertise. System:

I am an expert in the field. None of them should be merged. limestone quarries in Limburg (Q2073304) is for the full of Limburg (and some outside), caves of Maastricht (Q65119196) is only a group of four systems in one mountain, Noordelijk Gangenstelsel (Q25640421) is one of four of these systems.
Reading the article from caves of Maastricht (Q65119196), it shouldn't be merged with any of the other existing items on Wikidata as none of them is the same. On the English Wikipedia they have chosen to create only one (small) article about the full system of underground quarries (it are not caves) in the Sint-Pietersberg. On the Dutch Wikipedia we have created four main articles of the four main underground quarry systems as we know them nowadays. During time the different systems got connected with each other and formed one gigantic underground system of channels. However large parts of the system collapsed or were excavated. I will connect the different items so their relationship towards each other is clear. Romaine (talk) 20:52, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
PS: It are not caves (natural) but quarries, man-made underground systems created by removing blocks of limestone, blocks used for buildings houses and other buildings. Romaine (talk) 21:09, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
