What is this ?
[edit]For me, it is not clear, how this property is to be used: A owns B or A owned by B. This is also the case for many other incongruent relationships like parent-child. Most Properties on Wikidata are about relationships amd most are incongruent, like ownership, parent-child, something being a part of something else etc. And in most cases the name and description of the property are clear about the sort of relationship and unclear about the direction. This is a real big problem: I do suspect that a large amount (between 20 and 40 %) of the incongruent relationships that are not-automatically ("by hand") recorded on Wikidata could be reversed. I do not understand that this is happening. What is the big plan behind this ? Paulbe (talk) 22:03, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Paulbe: We are now at the talkpage of an wd:item. It is possible to use owned by (P127) to declare an ownership. The direction of hierarchy of items is defined by usage. For example is this item an underclass of public property (Q702627). So the direction for this definition seems clear, or? About the congruentness maybe you can ask for details here. Via Wikidata property (P1687) there is a connection between Items and Propertys. Hope that helpes a little, in the linked glossar there are more explainaitions.
