P7C-3PO (Q51787)

[edit]

@Rama: I disagree with this statement you added, as well as the similar statements linking C-3PO to Leia.

  • C-3PO is not a human. He was not born. It’s surely debatable if he can have parents. (He himself appears to consider himself “made”, as evidenced by his trademark exclamation “Thank the Maker!”.)
  • C-3PO is at best a half-brother, given that he only shares one parent (if you call it that) with Luke and Leia.
  • In my opinion, it might even be up to debate whether C-3PO can really be considered male. His gender certainly isn’t ever brought up in the movies. (I don’t think him being ashamed about lacking covering in Episode I is gender specific.)
  • As far as I’m aware, no one in-universe has ever brought up a sibling connection between C-3PO and Luke or Leia, or considered them related.
  • In fact, as far as I know, neither Luke nor Leia even know C-3PO was built by Anakin.
  • Actually, C-3PO probably doesn’t know either, given that his memory was erased in Episode III. Unless Ben considers it important enough to appear as Force Ghost once more (highly unlikely), R2-D2 is the only “person” “alive” who could inform the family about their kinship.
