Removed "replaced by"
[edit]According to iso:code:3166:AU, New South Wales and South Australia are two distinct states of Australia. This fact is also illustrated by States and territories of Australia. Therefore I have deleted the incorrect statements that said that New South Wales was replaced by South Australia.--RV1971 (talk) 21:05, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
- @RV1971: What the person making that claim was trying to express, is that the British colony of South Australia was formed out of territory that previously belonged to the British colony of New South Wales. (
The Australian states and prior British colonies share the same Wikidata entities; I think that is right, given the colonies and states are legally continuous.) Maybe that claim was not the best way to express that, but then I wonder what would be the best way to express that? SJK (talk) 12:35, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
