This page should be merged with Q149972. The distinction is based on a confusion about the two meanings of 'calculus' in English: it can mean generally a method of calculation, and specifically the infinitesimal calculus, which is the much more common meaning. Q149972 is linked to the Wikipedia pages for the specific meaning, and therefore identical in meaning to this page. The distinction makes it impossible to link, e.g., the English page 'calculus' to the German page 'Infinitesimalrechnung', while the German page links to 'infinitesimal calculus', which automatically redirects to 'calculus'. -- special:contribs/Falkebln 16:08, 10 June 2014‎ UTC

Reading the English article on infinitesimals, it seems like there are variations of the differential and integral calculus that use a formalised definition of infinitesimals, and other variations that don't use it (I don't really recall my schooling on this, but it seems limits sidestep the issue). So it seems like there is a distinction even if no single article in any language addresses it. Arlo Barnes (talk) 00:03, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
