Picture

For this Object there a quite a few pictures which could be featured. The one that got added today was reset by me to "normal" status. I just added a new crop of a newer picture which might be a good fit for this object here. Note: There is a lengthy discussion at "en"-wikipedia about the differences in these pictures. The two new ones are of course not mentioned there. The first new one is just of low quality, blurry and doesn't show a lot of his face. Where the pictures here should make a person as good recogniseable as possible - therefore the new crop, which shows more of the face and (apart from one mirrowing point in his glasses) is of good quality. If someone want's to change the picture here, just because he prefers another picture in his homewiki, he has to deal with that there, if it is automatically chosen from here. I disagree with you. There is also no lengthy discussion, if there is please show me where? As I have already warned you about Wiki Warring today on your talk page I am going to restore the priority order of the picture I uploaded today to what it was and request that you don't alter it again unless a consensus is reached. Why should your new proposal be the new consensus? This picture is of bad quality and blurred. The only one who is edit-warring here is you - just check the history of the page. Mirer (talk) 00:17, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

That everybody can follow, what I tried to discuss here, I'll give an gallery of the images with a short description:

  This is the source file, which got cropped, retouched and turned and featured on en-WP after discussion (not on Commons - you've to click it: Resulting image)

  New image featured by AmirahBreen, the others got "deprecated" rank. Opposed by me (low quality, blurry and to much body/background)
• 
  New crop added by me, as compromise of new and recognizable (more face). Opposed by AmirahBreen (reflection on glasses)
• 
  Suggested as new picture (no reflection on glasses)

Unfortunately no picture is perfect or at least clearly better than the others. They all have their advantages and shortcomings. In the discussion at the start of the year (en-wiki) six ranking by users were lead by four different picture. It's another low quality picture, which is blurry and shows just a little bit more face but still 90% background. Better than the first one, but not better than the crop with the reflection. Mirer (talk) 01:02, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
