This database may be for some reasons a good idea, for the English term 'root mean square' it does not work. In other languages there is a differnce between 'root mean squre' = German: 'Effektivwert', Dutch: 'Effectieve waarde' and = German: 'Quadratisches Mittel', Dutch: kwadratisch gemiddelde. 82.75.140.46 14:46, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
Somehow this doesn't work.
French; Moyenne quadratique <--> Spanish: Valor eficaz French: Valeur efficace <---> Spanish: Media cuadrática
This should be the other way around, as indicated in the database.(see: Q223323 and Q369180)
I hope this are just starting problems. Nijdam (talk) 08:02, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
There is no reason to separate "root mean square" with "quadratic mean", because they are the same thing. On the other hand, the term "effective value" (e.g. Effektivwert in German) has more specific usages in electrics and acoustics. The only problem is that they just call "RMS" to refer effective values in English world. So I separated Q223323 "root mean square/quadratic mean" with Q369180 "effective value". --Puzzlet Chung (talk) 11:47, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
