Proposal to move website links[edit]
As already discussed on sv:diskussion:Rissani, this item is a confusing mixup. The population statistics indicate that this item is supposed to be about a rural commune of Morocco (Q17318027), but most website links here are actually about the non-overlapping urban commune of Morocco (Q3327862) Moulay Ali Cherif, which also has a a separate item, Moulay Ali Cherif (Q27536933). I propose to move dewiki, enwiki, fawiki, frwiki, hewiki, itwiki, nlwiki, plwiki and ptwiki there as well as envoy, plvoy, the Commons category, image (P18), category of associated people (P1792), GeoNames ID (P1566) 2538027 and Who's on First ID (P6766) 1327418585. An alternative option is to demerge the rest of the content here to Moulay Ali Cherif (Q41333786) or its predecessor Rissani (Q27536174), and merge the remaining Moulay Ali Cherif (Q2154823) with Moulay Ali Cherif (Q27536933). // Essin (talk) 12:26, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- After counting the number of links here that referred to the city and to the rural commune, I chose the second option. Most links on Wikidata referred to the city and if the same is the case for links from elsewhere, this option should cause the least problems. I have recreated Rissani (Q27536174) as an item for the rural commune and pointed the links that really seemed to refer to the rural commune there. Moulay Ali Cherif (Q41333786) should in principle point there too but it might not be worth the effort. Essin (talk) 12:29, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
