- @Vojtěch Dostál, I'm still not sure that the articles here describe only a literary genre. ballade (Q805130) refers to classical music traditions, while the term "ballad" itself in music refers to several directions and include different subgenres. Solidest (talk) 10:51, 25 July 2022 (UTC)

- @Vojtěch Dostál. We also still have many musical genres that are subtypes of this item: https://w.wiki/5Vst. Literally almost 10 times more than the literary genres. Music genres can't be subclasses of solely literary genre. Also check en:Category:Ballads by genre vs en:Category:Ballades (music).
- And besides, all general "ballad" items are seem to be a big mess at the moment:
- Many articles are linked to incorrect item only judging by the title and premise. p31s, p279s and descriptions are also crossing each other and often are erroneous.
- So I think p31=music genre should be kept here, until all of this mess is fixed consistently and completely with all the articles redistributed. Removing p31=music genre and yet not touching its subclasses and external identifiers related to music genres, and also ignoring the fact that some articles explicitly say that this is a musical form and music genre (e.g. Russian one) is not how we do things on WD.
