What happens? Why original sound and language (French) is separated to different "edition" q33056727? What's the source that this film has "original title" in English? --Infovarius (talk) 16:24, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- concerning the language: I wrote something at the talk page of the French language edition (in short: English is indicated as the production language by UniFrance. As English is the production language I find it reasonable to set it as the original language).
- concerning the title: Following the French Wikipedia there are actuall two original titles ("The Little Prince" and "Le Petit Prince"). I don't know by which criteria it was determined that both are the original title, but the film page at the Cannes Film Festival website uses both titles, too. So maybe we should just indicate both titles with a P2439 (P2439)-qualifier. - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 10:45, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- More informations regarding the original title: That both, the English and the French title, are used at the Cannes Film Festival page is (unsurprisingly, if you think about it) no indicator that both are its original title (for every foreign-language film there has also a French title).
- But the film page for The Little Prince/Le Petit Prince on the website of Wild Bunch (the overseeing distribution company) indicates "Petit Prince (Le)" as its original title. There is also a language field which gives both, English and French, as the language. But I don't know what "language" means in this context - it is not specified as an original language or available language (which should be more) or used language. - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 14:09, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
