Actual piece of fabric, or design?[edit]
Over 540 items like flag of Canada (Q80110) currently have both subclass of (P279) and instance of (P31) statements linking to flag (Q14660). Presumably, the issue is the distinction between the actual piece of fabric (any given Canadian flag is a flag) and the distinct design (the flag of Canada is a flag). Should this item be split? Or perhaps just have the design sense? (Similarly, national flag (Q186516) is ambiguous. The item should presumably be a subclass of "flag" in either case, but it's unclear whether it should have instances or subclasses.) --Yair rand (talk) 08:12, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
