Scallop link[edit]

I have moved the English article scallop here from Q7360490 (scallop). Wikipedia articles added to Q7360490 refer to a narrow subset of pectinidae, whereas articles added here all refer to pectinidae family. Since English article scallop also refers to pectinidae family, it should be here. Vpab15 (talk) 12:30, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Vpab15: scientific name and vernacular name has to be separated. Just in case, system:
  • Pectinidae (Q1311395): family of molluscs
  • scallop (Q7360490): Name applied to numerous species of saltwater clams or marine bivalve mollusks in the Pectinidae family, the scallops. The common name scallop is also applied to species in other families of the superfamily Pectinoidea, including the thorny oysters.
