Accepted name for this species
[edit]The article, Ariosoma Swainson, 1838, a senior synonym of Poeciloconger Günther, 1871, with redescriptions of A. fasicatus (Q115223456), indicates that the senior genus Ariosoma (Q2566603) should be used for Poeciloconger (Q960471). This change is accepted by the Australian Faunal directory: Ariosoma kapala and by WoRMS: Ariosoma kapala WoRMS is the premier database for Marine Fauna. Hence I believe its taxonomy is the more appropriate. For this reason I moved the wiki articles with the name, Poeciloconger kapala, to Ariosoma kapala (Q81847672).
