Correct identification of this object[edit]
The correct identification of some NGC objects is difficult due to errors and misunderstandings of the original observer and of the astronomers that, during time, made and re-analysed the data.
Use the information of different sources, NGC 1225 has different identifications. Following the prescription of NGC/IC project the correct identification of NGC 1225 is PGC 11766, and differs from NGC 1123!.
